White sugar vs raw sugar
I wanted to pass along this article. I was talking with a friend the other day on this very subject. We have eliminated white sugar from our household. We now use raw sugar. It’s quite good. We also use other natural sweeteners like honey and Agave Nectar (low glycemic for those that cannot have real sugar). Some folks like to use Stevia.
I agree with the writer’s comments about sugar consumption. It’s totally out of hand. When I was growing up sodas were not served at the table with meals. Candy was not eaten on a daily basis.
I think you’ll find this article very informative.

Simple Living, I Cut My Hair
This is the first installment of the simple things I do to reduce my impact on Mother Earth
I cut my own hair. Yes sometimes looks like it, though it turns out fine a majority of the time. Think about it, how many times have you gotten a bad haircut? I know my hair better than anyone. I don’t have to wait for an appointment. It’s not rocket science. All you need is a comb & hair cutting shears. I save money on hair salon fees and the gas it takes to get there.

One day my mother stopped by to pay our friend a visit. Immediately she noticed that the butterfly garden was gone, destroyed, she said it looked as if a tornado had touched down and left the flowers strewn about in heaps all over the ground. [Read more →]

Simple living, Living Free
As I was enjoying my morning coffee, listening to the birds, chickens, and the creek as it tumbled across the rocks I began to feel a bit poetic. Susan and Tony suggested that I post it so here it is. I hope you enjoy it. [Read more →]
