I like to use those nylon scrubbies to clean my cast iron pots & pans. Their not really natural but they will scour without harming the pan. Well, my last store bought scrubbie finally bit the dust.I had read somewhere that you can make your own using the netted bags that produce comes in, so I had been saving them for that purpose.
Homemade Nylon Scrubbie
1 Nylon Netted produce bag
String
Cut off the label strip at the end(s)
Cut off any metal crimps
Tie off one end of the bag with your string
Roll the other end back to the tied end.
Some folks make theirs by tying off one end and making a gather stitch at the other end. Before I threw the old one out, I deconstructed it. It was tied at one end but there was no gather stitch. It was simply rolled back to the tied end.
So that’s what I did. I made 2 scrubbies.
A great way to ReCycle / ReUse / ReNew
