Homemade Ketchup

Take a look at the ingredients on your Ketchup bottle. If it contains High Fructose Corn Syrup then you need to take it immediately to the trash can & dump it. Better yet, dump out the contents, wash out the bottle & make your own ketchup!
I’m going to tell you how. It’s so unbelievably easy. It’s so good that once your family tastes it, store bought ketchup will never again sit on your pantry shelf. I wish I could say that I invented this recipe but I didn’t. I can’t remember where I found it. I”m just passing it along.

I use all organic ingredients. I highly recommend you do the same.

In a medium size bowl blend together well the following ingredients with a whisk or a spoon.

* 6 ounce can no-salt tomato paste
* 1/3 cup tap water
* 2 Tblsp Vinegar
* 1/4 Tsp Dry Mustard
* 1/4 Tsp Cinnamon
* 1/4 Tsp Salt
* 1 pinch cloves
* 1 pinch Allspice
* 1/8 Tsp Cayenne Pepper ( optional, but I suggest you try it)
* 1/3 cup Brown Sugar

Chill over night to let those flavors mingle. Next day, scrape mixture into the container of your choice. Removing the cloves is recommended.

This should make about 24 ounces.

Now, wasn’t that easy?
